Typical areas of work are expected to include: - desk based research - general analysis & planning - system engineering - measurement - business requirements analysis - interfacing to external third parties - demonstration/prototype - conclusions and recommendations Main deliverables expected of participant during the project :Work breakdown structure and scheduling of the project - Design of the project - Progress reports - Documentation (technical, operational, communications/advertising, support, etc) - Fully working demo/prototype solution Key relationships for the delivery of the project: R&D M2M Programme team - Other members of R&D & Vodafone involved in M2M and/or energy management projects - External partner(s) collaborating with Vodafone in the area of M2M and especially energy management - Suppliers of energy harvesting technology, products and solutions/systems Required technical skills: Mobile network and device technology and operation understanding - Measurement tools and techniques - Software engineering (generation would be an advantage) - Business requirements analysis Required personal skills: Personal interest in technology and its application, ideally in M2M and energy management - Good communicator - Well organised - Logical thinker - Good team player as well as being able to work independently - Good practical as well as theoretical skills
